Responsibilities and Opportunities

As the Country Manager for Japan, you will be responsible for developing and executing Rebellions' business strategy in the Japanese market. You will lead all aspects of our operations in Japan, including sales, marketing, partnerships, and team building. This role requires a strong leader with deep understanding of the Japanese AI and datacenter landscape, excellent business acumen, and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Business leadership and strategy: Lead all aspects of the Japan business including sales, partnerships, and operations
  • Team building and management: Recruit, manage, and mentor a high-performing team across sales, marketing, engineering, and other functions as needed. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Sales and business development: Drive sales growth by identifying and securing key customer accounts, building strong relationships with strategic partners (e.g., telcos, cloud providers), and developing and managing the sales pipeline. This will involve direct sales efforts as well as channel management
  • Partnership and ecosystem development: Cultivate a thriving ecosystem by fostering strategic collaborations with key players in the Japanese AI landscape. This includes forging partnerships with research institutions, universities, and industry consortia
  • Marketing and brand building: Position Rebellions as a thought leader in AI and semiconductor innovation through participation in industry events, conferences, and media engagements
  • Reporting and communication: Maintain a highly transparent and collaborative relationship with the headquarter through frequent and proactive communication


Key Qualifications

  • Minimum of 15 years experience in driving B2B sales in hyperscalers, cloud providers, telcos, and on-prem enterprises
  • Strong network of contacts within the Japanese datacenter and AI ecosystem
  • Proven leadership experience in scaling a startup or launching new business units in Japan
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Fluency in Japanese and English (Korean is a plus)
