The Rebellions System Hardware (SHW) team is at the forefront of transforming Rebellions' NPU technology into advanced AI modules and systems, where thermal design plays a crucial role at both the package and board levels. We are seeking a skilled and passionate Thermal Engineer to help define and shape the future of Rebellions' cutting-edge products.
As a Thermal Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring that thermal considerations are seamlessly integrated into every stage of the design process—from initial concept to final implementation. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to address complex thermal challenges, applying your expertise in heat transfer and fluid dynamics to deliver innovative solutions.
Responsibilities and Opportunities
- Provide critical thermal insights, in-depth analyses, and reliable test results to support management in making well-informed product design decisions
- Lead the development and implementation of thermal solutions, actively contributing to design reviews and technology assessments
- Take ownership of defining thermal design specifications for both the NPU package level and module-level heatsink designs
- Optimize thermal control parameters by thoroughly analyzing system test data and clearly communicating findings and updates to cross-functional teams and management
Key Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in consumer product implementation and validation
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a focus on Heat Transfer or Fluid Dynamics
- Expertise in thermal engineering principles, including conduction, convection, radiation, and advanced numerical modeling techniques
- Proficiency in thermal modeling, with the ability to accurately capture and analyze complex geometries
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present findings clearly
Ideal Qualifications
- A strong sense of design ownership, combined with a genuine curiosity to drive innovative solutions
- Proven experience in designing thermal solutions for high-performance computing products, including CPUs, GPUs, and NPUs
